Harmony Labs, a North Carolina-based contract development and manufacturing organization for liquid and semi-solid Rx, OTC, and cosmetic skin care products, has announced it has established a stand-alone department focused on innovation and new product development. The new Innovation Team will work in concert with Harmony Labs’ existing R&D department, and is focused on exploring new concepts, product differentiation, and leading edge technologies.
Spearheading these efforts is Natalie Barger, Sr. Manager, Product Development and Innovation. Prior to Harmony Labs, Barger has worked as a chemist for both Avon and L’Oreal, and during the last several years at Harmony Labs she has developed products for the top skin care companies in the world. Natalie has worked on 10 patent applications and is a member of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists. Natalie earned her Master of Arts degree in cosmetic science from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a B.S. in biology from Kennesaw State University.
“Innovation is a key pillar in our core strategy and this investment demonstrates Harmony Labs’ commitment to deliver not just new products, but new technology to our clients in a proactive manner,” says Mike Kane, president and CEO of Harmony Labs. “This enables Harmony Labs to be further recognized as an industry leader, and most importantly, better serve our customers.”
