Sibu Beauty, a manufacturer of premium sea buckthorn berry-based beauty and wellness products, and global media leader Hachette Filipacchi Media (HFM U.S.) have announced a multi-year deal in which HFM U.S. provides marketing and creative services to Sibu. The overall scope of the alliance includes exposure in both the print and online mediums for Sibu Beauty in the HFM U.S. portfolio of properties, unconventional co-marketing campaigns, contests and events like HAVEN360 leading up to the Oscars and STYLE360 during New York Fall Fashion Week.
Deborah Burns, chief innovation officer of HFM U.S., says, “We are proud to be working with Sibu Beauty on all aspects of their marketing and retail efforts, leveraging our internal assets to increase their awareness and sales.”
“The relationship with HFM U.S. will significantly elevate our marketing activity and communicate the amazing benefits of our premium sea buckthorn berry-based products in their highly targeted print and digital mediums. This will also be a boost for the thousands of retailers that carry Sibu products as millions of consumers will be reached by the events, promotions, and advertising,” says Peter McMullin, VP of marketing for Sibu Beauty. “Sibu Beauty is a premium brand that is primarily responsible for educating the Western World on the remarkable sea buckthorn berry and the numerous benefits it has for consumers. In just a few short years, Sibu Beauty has taken all of the right steps to formulate a product line that is unlike any other in the category. With HFM U.S.’s portfolio, we can take the brand to a global market via print, digital, advertising, and industry events.” McMullin said.
Bruce McMullin, Sibu Beauty founder and CEO, comments, “Since the inception of the Sibu Beauty brand the primary focus was to incorporate the most premium sea buckthorn berries from the high, nutrient-rich elevations of the Himalayan Mountains and to make a product line that incorporated the numerous benefits of the berry for beauty and well being plus be cognizant of keeping the region virtually unblemished. We made the decision, early on, to employ the indigenous people in an effort that would help to better their lives. Our fair trade agreement with the local government was recently blessed by His Holiness The Dalai Lama.”
Fortified with over 190 bio-active compounds, sea buckthorn is a great source of Omegas 3, 6 and 9 and is also a rich source of the fatty acid Omega-7, a naturally occurring component that keeps free radicals at bay and a major building-block to healthy skin, and mucus membranes. Numerous scientific studies have concluded that sea buckthorn demonstrates the ability to improve hair, nail and skin tone/texture, digestive wellness and promotes healthy aging.
