The magnetic trend is catching on. Now Sally Hansen has introduced its 3D nail art effect magnetic polishes. The formula features metallic particles which create a pattern on the nail using a magnet, similar to China Glaze’s Magnetix, which we wrote about in Beauty Packaging's Nail Pizzazz article earlier this year. As the magnet is held over the nail, the iron filings in the formula gravitate toward the magnet forming the pattern/design hidden in the magnet. The nail polish is available in a variety of shades (Ionic Indigo, Red-y Response, Kinetic Copper, Silver Elements, Golden Conduct, Electric Emerald, Graphite Gravity, Polar Purple) and costs $9.99 each at drugstores and mass merchandisers nationwide. The cap of the nail polish bottle features a wave pattern akin to one of the nail polish magnetic patterns.
