Women in Flavor & Fragrance Commerce (WFFC) has announced its 2013 WFFC scholarship award winners.
The recipient of the Rita Flynn Memorial Fragrance Scholarship Award is Lauren Musumeci, who is finishing her Master’s degree in food science at Cornell University. She is involved with Expanding Your Horizons, an organization that encourages young women to pursue careers in science, mathematics, engineering and technology.
The winner of the WFFC Flavor Scholarship Award is Kayla Babbush, a freshman at Cornell University, Babbush is studying for a Bachelor’s degree in food science, and is focused on safety and contamination to prevent foodborne-illnesses. She is also the co-founder of "Teens for Life," which raises money for CPR and Automatic External Defibrillator trainings for high school students and faculty.
