L’Oreal Paris is planning it’s first-ever Women of Worth Twitter Forum, in preparation for the ninth year of the company’s annual event that promotes self-worth to women.
Celebs will be on hand to help, including Maria Shriver, Arianna Huffington, Mika Brzezinski, as well as L'Oreal Paris Ambassadors Lea Michele, Eva Longoria and Liya Kebede
Thousands of women are expected to join in the day-long discussion taking place tomorrow – April 16th – to spread a message of self-worth, and how it can be a powerful tool to help propel women forward.
The Women of Worth program was established to honor women who are making a difference in the world through volunteerism. The annual event is in line with L’Oreal Paris’ iconic tagline, "Because I'm Worth It," which was launched to celebrate women's self-esteem.
At this year’s Women of Worth gala event, which will be held in New York City in December, ten women will be selected to receive $10k, with one woman to be named the national honoree - receiving an additional $25,000 to further her philanthropic efforts.
Karen T. Fondu, president, L’Oreal Paris, commented:
“Worth has a multi-dimensional role in a woman's life – it's more than just confidence or self-esteem – it's the foundation of everything we can and will achieve. The Women of Worth program was conceived as a way to demonstrate, through the achievements of incredible women, the impact of pursuing your passion and believing in your worth."
