Women in Flavor & Fragrance Commerce (WFFC) has announced an educational event “F&F Legislation and Natural Products: How It Affects You,” held in conjunction with EFEO (The European Federation of Essential Oils), RIFM (The Research Institute for Fragrance Materials), and IFRA North America (The International Fragrance Association). The event will be held on April 14, 2015, at Nanina’s in the Park, located at 540 Mill Street, Belleville, New Jersey 07109.
According to WFFC, Reach 2018 and GHS will create new challenges and opportunities for all participants of the flavor and fragrance industry. To help decode the upcoming legislation, the WFFC has lined up speakers from the regulatory leaders of the industry. The discussion topics will include: “The Reach Code: An Overview of EFEO and REACH Today, the Link between Reach and GHS, Decoding Reach 2018” - Eric Angelini (EFEO Technical Committee Co-Chair and VP of Global Regulatory Affairs and Product Safety, MANE, France) and Jens-Achim Protzen (EFEO Technical Committee Co-Chair and Managing Director, Paul Kaders GmbH, Germany); “Updating Criteria for RIFM Safety Assessments: How We Approach Naturals” - David K. Wilcox, Ph.D. (President, RIFM, USA); and “IFRA North America 2015 Policy Issues: GHS and Prop 65” – Jennifer Abril (President, IFRA North America, USA) and Megan Ekstrom (Director Government Affairs, IFRA North America, USA). A networking dinner will follow the speeches.
