Pop star Ariana Grande made an appearance at Macy's Herald Square in NYC on September 16th, 2015, for the launch of her new fragrance, Ari by Ariana.
It was reported that Grande earned $30k for the hour-long appearance. She sang three songs for the crowd of over 700 fans, and then personally greeted the 250 shoppers on the sixth floor, who purchased a fragrance set. The set which included a 3.4 oz. eau de parfum spray, a body lotion, hair mist, and coffee scrub, for $119, all packed in a stylish black backpack. Grande also met with a Make-a-Wish recipient.
The Packaging
The pale pink, round faceted bottle has accents of rose gold, and a vintage-inspired look. Its bulb-shaped atomizer that looks like it's as fluffy as a cotton ball. At the launch event, Grande even wore fluffy earrings to match the packaging.
The lavender carton, which features black and white portraits of Grande, is trimmed with a gold art deco pattern. The fragrance name is uniquely inlayed atop the image in a matching lavender font – Ariana's favorite color. Added for personal flair, Grande's handwritten signature lovingly appears at the top of each carton.
The Juice & Ad Campaign
Grande partnered with LUXE Brands to launch the sweet scent, which has top notes of Crispy Pear, Pink Grapefruit, and Juicy Raspberry; middle notes of Soft Muguet, Rose Buds, and Vanilla Orchid; and bottom notes that include Marshmallow, Creamy Musk, and Blonde Woods.
Grande appears in the ads walking a pack of dalmations, shown above. LUXE Brands partnered with creative agency BBH (Bartle Bogle Hegarty) Los Angeles to produce the advertising campaign.
