Vichy Laboratoires has created the Vichy Exposome Grant to fund research on exposome and its effects on the skin. The deadline to apply for the grant is July 8th 2016.
The term exposome was recently coined by Dr. Christopher Wild at the World Health Organization's International Agency for Research on Cancer. It describes the complex set of exposures that the human body is subjected to throughout its lifespan, and how they interact - including those from from the environment, diet, and lifestyle.
Exposome research aims to look at the holistic view of the human body's exposures, how the body responds to those exposures, and their combined effects.
The Vichy Exposome Grant supported by Vichy Laboratoires is intended to promote and encourage research activity to characterize the skin exposome. Applications will be reviewed by an international jury of experts.
