Galderma Laboratories, L.P., makers of Cetaphil, is celebrating its fifth consecutive year partnering with the Children's Skin Disease Foundation (CSDF) and its initiative, Camp Wonder.
The partnership began five years ago as a product sponsorship and has evolved into a long-term commitment to raising awareness of skin diseases. Throughout this time, Galderma and Cetaphil have provided product, as well as grants and sponsored activities.
Camp Wonder is a medically-staffed summer program that invites children ages seven to 16 who suffer from severe and life-threatening skin diseases. The week-long camp, funded by the CSDF, hosted 100 children in Livermore, CA in June 2016.
Francesca Tenconi, founder of the CSDF, said, "Our partnership is a special one, where together, we are able to touch the lives of so many children affected by chronic skin diseases. We're so fortunate to have sponsors like Galderma and Cetaphil to help us create a place where these children can feel comfortable in their own skin and experience the joys of summer camp like other kids their age."
Miles Harrison, President and General Manager of Galderma for North America, added, "Throughout our five years in partnership, Galderma and the Cetaphil brand have raised over $700,000 to help support the Camp and have worked in partnership with CSDF Founder Francesca Tenconi to create meaningful experiences for children suffering from skin diseases. We are continually inspired by the work of Francesca and the courage of the Camp Wonder children and want to do our part to support this organization and help improve the lives of the children and their families."
