The Farrah Fawcett Foundation has launched its first beauty product that pays homage to the late actress -- a limited edition rosy nude lipstick called Farrah, created in collaboration with Patrick Foley at Barneys New York.
Patrick Foley is Barneys New York's resident makeup artist in Beverly Hills and was a close friend of Fawcett. He first came up with the idea of a Farrah lipstick.
The LA-based cosmetic company Nude Envie manufactures the lipstick. Proceeds from sales will benefit the Farrah Fawcett Foundation. The $38 sheer, glossy lipstick is available at Barney's New York and online at Nude Envie.
The foundation’s president and CEO, actress Alana Stewart who was Fawcett's close friend, spoke to The Hollywood Reporter in more detail about the cosmetics line --- and upcoming hair products.
More About the Farrah Fawcett Foundation
The Farrah Fawcett Foundation and Stand Up To Cancer have collaborated by creating a research team dedicated to HPV-related cancers. To date, the FFF has donated over $1,500,000 with participation from the HPV and Anal Cancer Foundation. According to the CDC, high-risk human papilloma viruses are responsible for 90% of anal cancers (the cancer that took Farrah’s life) and cervical cancers, as well as many vaginal, vulvar, penile, and oropharyngeal cancers.
