Kat Von D Beauty knows the appeal of mini packages -- there is an entire section devoted to travel-sized beauty on the brand's website. Now, the brand just launched its Lock-It Foundation in mini tubes -- and 44 colors.
Minis are so appealing because they are designed to deliver the full experience of using a product, unlike a single-use sample. Smaller sizes are not only travel-friendly, but they also allow beauty fans to try more products at budget-friendly prices.
Kat Von D's Lock-It Foundation's mini is a 15 ml tube for $18, while the full-size product is 30 ml for $36 -- but for double the price (and double amount of product) users get a more stylish double-wall bottle with a pump dispenser.
The brand also created mini versions of its best-selling 6-pan Shade + Light Contour Palette, which is $49. The travel-friendly version is the Kitten Mini Shade + Light Contour Duo, for $23 -- and consumers choose between 3 different color combinations.
Perhaps one of the cutest mini sets Kat Von D offers is the new, limited edition Mini Studded Saint Set, for $19. Packaged in a white box, the products are showcased through a clear die-cut window shaped like an ornate picture frame, which reveals the red faux-velvet insert. The set contains a mini bottle of the Saint fragrance, and a Studded Lipstick.
The brand also recently partnered with Sephora to offer the retailer's Beauty Insiders a complimentary birthday mini-set. The set features three sample sizes -- Tattoo Liner, Lock-It Setting Powder, and Studded Kiss Crème Lipstick. See it in the video below.
