LVMH Group has appointed ex-Starbuck's Corp. president Martin Brok as president and CEO of Sephora, effective September 14. His start date was postponed, according to an interview in WWD, due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Brok takes the reigns from Chris De Lapuente, who will remain a member of the LVMH Executive Committee, reports say -- and De Lapuente will take on additional responsibilities that will be announced at a later date.
Prior to Starbuck's, Brok's experience includes serving as VP of Global Product and Merchandising Operations and Analytics at Nike, and several years at Burger King Corp. and The Coca-Cola Company. Brok grew up in Holland and speaks five languages, WWD reports.
De Lapuente told WWD that Brok is “going to be a fantastic leader for us. We find him a very balanced leader. He’s got a great track record on business and also on people and organization development, which is very important for our culture. We are very much a people-driven business.”
