According to a court filing, Ariana Grande has reached an agreement to purchase assets tied to her r.e.m. beauty brand from Forma Brands in a deal that is valued at approximately $15 million.
This news comes weeks after Forma Brands, which also owns Morphe cosmetics, filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
Before it can move forward, the deal requires approval from the judge overseeing the bankruptcy case in Delaware.
The name of the first drop was “ultraviolet” and it was cosmic- and space-themed, mostly focused on eyes and lips.
Forma previously handled product development, manufacturing and marketing for Grande’s brand.
