LilaNur Parfums and fashion designer Bibhu Mohapatra partnered to create a 360° sensory experience inspired by Nancy Cunard, the muse for his Fall 2023 collection at Spring Studios on February 13th.
LilaNur Parfums diffused its Davana Cèdre scent throughout the runway gallery and hosted a scent station backstage that included its collection of Eau de Parfums and Attar Absolus for Mohapatra's VIP guests.
Front-row visitors including June Ambrose, Prabal Gurung, Steven Kolb of the CFDA, Fern Mallis, Waris Ahluwalia, Young Paris, Diala Makki, and Pritka Swarup, were gifted a sample of Davana Cèdre as an olfactory souvenir of the runway experience.
Mohapatra selected LilaNur's Davana Cèdre Eau de Parfum as his chosen scent because it harmonizes two opposing forces: the sacred spirituality of the Indian davana plant with the grounding force of cedarwood. It was created by Master Perfumer, Honorine Blanc.
“Davana Cedre carries no hint of nostalgia. Like Nancy Cunard, it juxtaposes and blends masculine and feminine forces in a modern way. It is the scent of now," said Mohapatra.
"We loved collaborating with Bibhu who embraces our mission to showcase the beauty and modernity of Indian scent culture with the world," said Paul Austin, Co-creator of LilaNur Parfums.
