CEW Picks Top Beauty Products
Cosmetic Executive Women crown top products at their annual Beauty Awards gala.
The creation of the packaging for Harajuku Lovers Fragrance “G” was a labor-intensive process. The dolls’ faces and bodies are decorated by hand. |
According to CEW, one of the biggest current beauty trends today among award winners is “value.” At-home spa treatments, 2-in-1 products and luxury-for-less characterized many of the hottest products to hit the beauty counters and aisles this year. Beauty buyers signaled that they wanted affordable products that could “go the distance,” such as products that enabled them to emulate expensive salon and spa treatment products that could be used in their own home.
The award winners, determined by CEW’s membership of more than 4,000 professionals, are chosen to serve as a trusted guide to top product performers for consumers. To help promote this year’s award-winning products, the CEW launched its biggest retail program to date, collaborating with six national partners in 2009. The retail program gives consumers instant shopping access on www.cew.org with “buy now” links to CVS/pharmacy, Sephora, ULTA, Beauty.com, drugstore.com and Bloomingdale’s.
“Women don’t want to make buying mistakes. They’re looking for performance and value. With the CEW Beauty Awards, consumers have the advice of more than 4,000 beauty experts to lead them to the best products the industry has to offer,” says Carlotta Jacobson, CEW president.
