The 49th edition of Cosmoprof Worldwide will take place in Bologna, Italy, from March 18-21, alongside Cosmopack, March 17-20, 2016.
The show will focus on all sectors of the beauty industry, and includes separate areas showcasing Perfumery and Cosmetics, Natural, Health, Beauty Salon and Spa, Hair, and Nails; while Packaging and Contract Manufacturing is featured in the Cosmopack area. There will also be more than 20 country pavilions.
One of the key themes this year is “internationalization,” organizers say. The event is organized by BolognaFiere in cooperation with Cosmetica Italia. Also supporting the trade fair is ICE, the Agency for Overseas Promotion and Internationalization of Italian Enterprises, as well as the Italian Ministry of Economic Development.
One of the event’s highlights is its International Buyer Program, which aims to connect buyers with suppliers by facilitating meetings, while encouraging visitors to meet new contacts.
A Focus on Spas
The show will feature a spa section, which will include the installation of a dedicated spa area, to reflect this growing segment of the beauty industry. This area will feature demonstrations of exhibitors’ most innovative products, including thermal treatments.
Buyers and executives from spas, wellness centers and hotels will have plenty of opportunities to meet with suppliers and specialized distributors of spa products.
The Growing Popularity of Halal Cosmetics
The project, “Halal Cosmetics: From Production to Sales” will be on display in a special exhibition area, as part of the Green and Natural Pavilion. This section will be dedicated to Italian and international companies producing or distributing products with Halal certification.
The project is organized in partnership with the Italian Halal certification center, World Halal Development (WHAD). It aims to help manufacturers, as well as managers and directors of spas and wellness centers, who are facing the challenge of meeting the demand for Muslim-friendly products and treatments.
Niche Perfumery
Niche perfumery and fragrances will be another key highlight of the show. One area will feature The Extraordinary Fragrance Gallery, which will showcase leading international trend-setting fragrance companies. Business meetings between buyers, suppliers and specialized distributors will be facilitated.
The Cosmopack Wall Award & Factory
The Cosmopack Wall Award returns to the show this year. This display will showcase the most innovative projects and the latest technologies. The winners will be selected by a jury of key leaders in the packaging sector.
The 2016 edition of the Cosmopack Factory will feature Foundation—and this year’s exhibit will highlight the production stages for a new “CC” cream—Cosmoprof & Cosmopack cream.
Expectations Are High
Last year, Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna registered record numbers—248,000 visitors attended the show in 2015, which was a 20% increase over the prior year. Organizers expect to report the same growth again this year, and look forward to welcoming industry executives to Bologna.
