On Monday, September 18, Arkay Packaging celebrated its impressive 95th anniversary at a cocktail party in Manhattan. Founded in 1922 on the Lower East Side of New York City—and still family owned—the premier manufacturer of high-quality printed folding cartons to markets, such as cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and spirits, operates plants in New York and Virginia.
Mitchell Kaneff, the third-generation and current CEO, welcomed guests and paid tribute to his grandfather and founder of the company, Max Kaneff, as well as to his father Howard, who also spoke about Arkay’s successful run in the industry.
Howard Kaneff began working with The Estée Lauder Companies more than 60 years ago, which brought Leonard Lauder to the celebratory event on September 18, to deliver a champagne toast. Lauder praised the company, saying when no supplier would agree to do the level of packaging work they wanted, Arkay was always the only one to say, “Yes, we can.” And with “superior” results.
